Sylvia grew up in Boise, Idaho where she began dancing at the age of 4. She trained in various styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, and contemporary at local studios and started dancing competitively in middle school. She danced for her high school dance team, Sweet Liberty, at Centennial High School, where her team won awards at the state level, including overall placements and USA dance nationals awards each year. She moved to Pocatello in 2020 and after graduation, danced as an ISU Bengal Dancer where she traveled to Florida to compete at NDA College Nationals. She started assistant coaching the Voltage Dance Team in 2022 and just finished her first year as head coach. Sylvia loves Poky and cannot wait to start her 5th season with VDT!
