We are so excited you are interested in trying out for the Pocatello High School Voltage Dance Team!

To successfully complete all the steps needed for tryouts, follow the list below.

1. Complete the online Tryout Form 

*Please complete this before arriving to tryouts on May 8th, 2026!

• It is highly encouraged to complete this form ASAP!

2. Join the Tryout Band

• You will need to download the BAND App (it has a green icon).

• This is where any additional tryout information will be posted! 

*We will also use this same app to communicate throughout the season.

• Follow the link below to be invited into the Voltage Dance Tryouts 26/27 group.

3. Save the Dates

Open Gym Dates

• Friday, April 3rd - PHS Palace Gym - 6:30-8:30pm - Military Focus

• Friday, April 17th - PHS Pit Gym - 6:30-8:30pm - Technique & Pom Focus

• Tuesday, April 21st - PHS Palace Gym - 6:30-8:30pm - Hip Hop Focus

• Tuesday, April 28th - PHS Palace Gym - 6:30-8:30pm - Technique & Lyrical/Contemporary Focus

Online Tryout Form Due

• Monday, May 4th

Day 1 of Team Tryouts - PHS Palace Gym

• Friday, May 8th 5:00-9:00pm

*time may end sooner or later - will communicate in the Tryout Band chat

• Learn tryout across the floor and dance combos

• MUST attend both days of tryouts

• ATTIRE: Wear form fitting dance clothes (ex. leggings, shorts, tank top, etc.)

• Bring tennis shoes, jazz shoes or pirouettes, and water

Day 2 of Team Tryouts - PHS Palace Gym

• Saturday, May 9th 4:00-9:00pm

*time may end sooner or later - will communicate in the Tryout Band chat

• Dancers will display across the floor and dance combos to a judging panel

• Dancers may also have an in-person interview

• MUST attend both days of tryouts

• ATTIRE: Wear all black form fitting dance clothes (ex. leggings, shorts, tank top, etc.)

• Bring tennis shoes, jazz shoes or pirouettes, and water

MANDATORY Parent and Dancer Meeting - Poky Media Center/Library

• Monday, May 11th 7:00-8:30pm

• Go over team expectations, important dates, other team info, and fundraising opportunities

• Sign dancer/parent agreement form

• Sizing for costumes and team gear
