Education and Sustainable Development
Sustainable development through education lies at the heart of Voice It In Action’s mission. By ensuring equitable access to quality education, we aim to empower individuals and communities to build a prosperous and socially responsible society. This initiative aligns with both National and Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Focusing on knowledge-sharing, skill-building, and community-driven growth, this collaboration aims to create a sustainable educational ecosystem that nurtures responsible, capable individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. Voice It In Action recognizes the critical role education plays in breaking cycles of poverty, reducing social disparities, gender based violence and equipping young people with the skills needed to thrive.
Education and Sustainable Development (ESD) Campaign
Stakeholders, Schools, Ambassadors and the General Community
A whole society approach to education and sustainable development of children, the youth and future generations of South Africa
Safer and Cleaner Schools: The first 2 quarters of 2025 have seen massive outbreaks of cries for safer schools with children being violated in schools, the recent case #JusticeForCwecwe is but one of many such cases nationwide. These cries for justice and help have created a long list of requirements submitted in the forms of memorandums by various organizations and entities across the country to various Government Departments and Entities. We have ourselves also in collaboration with various entities submitted one too. However we do believe that more needs to be done to ensure that the cries are not only heard but that we create safer schools for all children in South Africa and this can only work in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education including other key entities such as the South African Police Services, the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, the Department of Women Youth and Persons with Disabilities, the Department of Social Development and the Presidency (to fill additional gaps which may occur).
The country has cried and we have heard these cries and have decided to fast track activities aimed at ensuring safer schools through Phase 1 of our Education and Sustainable Development Campaign: Safer and Cleaner Schools. A collaborative approach to ensuring school safety while developing short term to long term sustainable actions to ensure safer and cleaner schools.
