Final Year Design Project-2025
The project features an innovative system that utilizes a wearable glove embedded with flex sensors, an MPU6050 motion sensor, and a microcontroller to recognize hand gestures and translate them into speech in real-time. The system achieved an impressive 99.5% accuracy.
By integrating sensor interfacing, embedded systems, and VLSI design, this low-cost, efficient solution aims to bridge the communication gap for the deaf and mute community.
We are honored by this recognition and proud of our dedicated team for their outstanding contribution toward a socially impactful innovation.
Team G8 from EEE, BRAC University, under the supervision of Dr. Touhidur Rahman, presented their FYDP project:
“Design and Development of a Smart Water Quality Monitoring and Management System for Shrimp Hatchery.”
Using Arduino, ESP32, and IoT sensors, the system monitors water conditions in real time, automates control, and stores data on ThingSpeak. It reduces manual labor, cuts chemical use by 50%, improves shrimp yield and survival, and is scalable for smart farming.
VLSI@BRACU is proud to support sustainable Agri-Tech innovations.
BRACU students Zaiyan Azad Moslem, Mohammad Habibul Hassan Khan, and Abhishek Datta have been selected for the Ulkasemi VLSI Internship under Dr. Touhidur Rahman’s supervision. They recently completed a 5-day industrial training covering RTL design, layout, physical design, and analog circuits. The training provided practical experience and applied their classroom knowledge. They credit Dr. Rahman’s workshops for preparing them well. VLSI@BRACU congratulates the students and wishes them success in their VLSI careers.
Interested in learning something about the tech that is behind automation and smart devices? Embedded Systems refer to specific computing hardware that perform specific functions in larger systems. They form the basis of the development of consumer electronics, automotive technology, robotics and healthcare gadgets. Join the Embedded System Design workshop to build the firm foundation in the hardware and software aspect of embedded systems. During this workshop, you will be able to work with practical tasks, from sensor integration, control systems and home monitoring solutions.
There will be expert instructors who will facilitate the session and all completers of the workshop will receive a certificate.
