TX Audio Setup

Here are the EQ settings that I use with the HEIL GM Microphone:

The following spectrum display is the signal from the FTDX5000 with either the HC5 or GM insert:

The signal has been received on an Elecraft K3 with an SDR-IQ as the spectrum display. The grey area is 3kHz wide (28.490 - 28.493MHz) The FTDX5000 is transmitting 10W into a dummy-load. The K3 has no antenna connected, the pre-amp switched off and the attenuator switched on.

As can be seen, the HC5 with the EQ settings of the FT5K has emphasis from 1600 - 2700Hz, whereas the GM introduces quite a bit of bottom end at 200 - 800Hz and less at at the high end.
