Getting started
Tap + in the library, or Create resume the first time. Choose where you are applying — the format sets the paper size, the headings and what a resume there usually includes (a photo and date of birth in Germany, none in the US). Fill in Contact, the summary and the sections; the page updates as you type. On iPhone, tap the page at the top or Preview to see it; on iPad it sits beside the form. Export PDF under the page sends it by Mail, saves it to Files or prints it.
Common questions
Which template should I use? For online applications, an ATS template: one column, standard headings, a text layer that applicant tracking systems read. Designer templates are for applications read by people first.
My resume is two pages; I need one. Open Page and turn on Fit to one page. The text gets smaller down to 9.5 pt; if it still does not fit, the app says so and you can shorten a few lines.
The headings are in the wrong language. Each resume has its own language for the printed headings: open the resume → Headings language. The app's own language is set in iOS Settings → Vitapage → Language; on a Mac, in Vitapage → Settings → App language (it changes when you reopen the app).
How do I import the resume I already have? In the library, tap + → Import from PDF or image, Scan a paper resume or Choose a photo. The first-run screen "Already have a resume?" offers the same. Check the "What we recognized" screen, switch off anything you do not want, and tap Create resume.
How do I keep a copy of everything? Settings → Back up to Files writes one file with every resume, letter and photo. Save it to iCloud Drive. To bring it back, open the file in Files or use Restore from a backup; restoring adds what is missing and never overwrites.
Can I lock the app? Settings → Lock with Face ID (Touch ID or Passcode, depending on the device). The app asks again when it opens and after a minute in the background.
Subscriptions and purchases
What does Pro include? Every template in PDF, Word (DOCX), import, cover letters, a photo on the resume, more than one resume, the full phrase library, the resume check's suggestions and the comparison with a job ad. The editor, every format, the preview, text size and margins, the resume check's list of things to fix and PDF in ATS Classic are free.
How do I cancel? Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews.
I paid but Pro is still locked. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase.
I want a refund. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Bug reports
The most useful report includes: what you did, what happened, what you expected, your device model, iOS version, the app version, the resume's format and template. A screen recording helps.
