Privacy Policy — Vitapage
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The short version
Vitapage collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no servers. Your resumes, cover letters and photos stay on your own device, and the app makes no network connections at all.
Everything below is the detail behind that sentence.
What stays on your device
The app stores this locally, on your device only:
your resumes and cover letters, and the portrait you add to a resume
your settings: theme, haptics, the format for new resumes, the lock
nothing about your purchases: whether you have Vitapage Pro is read from the App Store's records on your device each time the app starts
None of it is uploaded. We cannot see any of it. If you delete the app, it is gone; we hold no copy and cannot restore it. To keep a copy, use Settings → Back up to Files and save the file wherever you choose, for example iCloud Drive. That file goes only where you put it.
Importing a resume
When you import a PDF, a scan or a photo of a paper resume, its text is read on the device with Apple's own text recognition. The file is not uploaded and not kept: only the fields you confirm on the "What we recognized" screen are added to the new resume.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a paper resume. When you choose a photo — a picture of a resume to import, or the portrait for your resume — iOS shows its own picker and gives the app only the photo you picked; the app does not read the rest of your library. Background removal for a portrait runs on the device.
Resume check and job ads
The resume check reads your resume on the device by fixed rules. When you compare your resume with a job ad, the text you paste is compared on the device and is not stored or sent anywhere.
Face ID and Touch ID
If you turn on the lock, Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode is checked by iOS. The app never sees your face or fingerprint data; it only learns whether the check succeeded.
Siri and Shortcuts
"Export my resume" runs on your device and hands the PDF to the shortcut you built. It does not run while the iPhone is locked, nor while the app's own lock is on.
What we do not do
We do not create accounts or ask for your name, email or phone number.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
We do not show advertising and do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
We do not track you across apps or websites, so the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
We do not sell, share or transfer personal data, because we do not hold any.
Sharing
A resume leaves the device only when you export it and choose where it goes in the share sheet — Mail, Files, another app or a printer. From then on it is handled by the app or service you chose.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details go to Apple, never to us. We receive no card numbers, no billing address and no name. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Vitapage is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
