Hello! My name is Mr. Smith, and I am the Visual Arts Specialist at Fox Hills Elementary & Harry S. Truman Elementary.
I was born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina, where I developed a love of art during my time in elementary school. When I began attending college, I chose to make education my career, and I made the decision to teach a subject that I loved - one that I could get excited about teaching every day. Visual arts was the obvious choice.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education K-12 from the University of South Carolina at the end of 2016, and moved to Utah the same week.
I've been teaching with the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program in Granite School District for the past three years. Outside of school you can find me spending time working on my own creative projects, spending time with friends, or out hiking and backpacking in the beautiful Utah wilderness.
This website was started to serve as your access to the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program, and to Mr. Smith's Visual Art Class during the 2020 Student Dismissal.
Here you can find activities, resources, games, and links to help you engage your Artist's Brain from home.
