국립현대미술관에서 본 윤형근 화가 작품 전시.(Yun Hyong-keun RETROSPECTIVE AT MMCA)
After watching the e.a.t. exhibition at the MMCA, I went around and found this exhibition and entered in with curiosity.
In fact, I have never heard of the name Yoon Hyong-keun.
I entered the wrong entrance, so I started from the back of the exhibition and came out of the entrance. So, at first, I saw the work without any information about what it was and who is the artist.
His pictures are very native and neat, and even though it wasn't fancy, I couldn't take my eyes off the paintings.
The pictures were large in size. When i standing in front of the painting, I felt as if I were walking into it.
The painting became a door and I wanted to enter an unknown and endless world through the door.
Later, the phrase written on the wall said in a diary written in 1977, "The title of my painting is 천지문(天地門). Blue is the sky and amber is the color of the earth. That's why I named my work 천지(天地), and the perspective of my work is a door(문/門)."
It was really a picture of a door. Many pictures contained earth colors. It had made me feel nostalgic.
I enjoyed watching the e.a.t. exhibition and could have a lot of inspiration, but they stimulated my intellectual curiosity and this exhibition moved my feelings a lot. The works penetrated me without a long explanation.
These are works that I can't get tired of looking at for a long time, so I could sit in front of them for hours. I like things that I can touch, but sometimes I find that I can enjoy them just by looking at them.
