1. 국립현대미술관에서 본 E.A.T. (E.A.T. Exhibition at MMCA)
I visited MMCA and i saw the exhibition of E.A.T. .
There`s many works, And my favorite is John Cage's [Variations VII].
John Cage delivered sounds from all over the city to the concert hall over the phone. The sounds were collected from studios, turtle tanks, press rooms for The New York Times, kitchens for famous restaurants, and so on. Also, inside the concert hall, all kinds of electronic appliances on the table were activated, They maked their sound echoed through the hall.
I saw the interview of those participants on the stage of the John Cage on television at the exhibition hall. It was an interview with the owner of turtle tank, engineer, stage participant etc. and it was quite fun.
I was very pleased to hear about the exhibition's behind-the-scenes story.
One day, when an audience came across the stage and watched what was going on at stage, and other audience had come close too to the stage and watched what was going on.
I thought it would be nice to have interviewed the audience at that time. I wonder what it was like to go out on stage and watch.
Also, there were notes in the exhibition that contained ideas and sketches that people thought at 1960`s, and it was interesting. I could see how the idea sketches were applied to the stage, and it was fun to see someone else's very bad drawings. It was enough to please me that the memo that took up one corner of the ordinary notebook became part of a great project.
