To strengthen final exam preparation, the Department of English conducts an annual internal exam paper review under the guidance of Dilip Barad Sir, along with Prakruti Ma’am and Megha Ma’am. This initiative helps students recognize common errors, refine their writing abilities, and develop a more structured approach to answering questions. By critically assessing their responses, students deepen their understanding of key concepts and improve their clarity in academic expression.
Complementing this review process, the department also hosts an Essay Type Answer Analysis workshop aimed at further enhancing students' writing proficiency. This workshop emphasizes crucial aspects of essay writing, including argument development, logical flow, and clarity of thought. Through interactive discussions and constructive feedback, students acquire practical strategies to refine their writing style and craft well-structured, analytical responses in exams.
On August 17, 2023, the Department of English at MKBU hosted a photography workshop titled Imagination An Art of Seeing, conducted by photographer Kaushik Ghelani. The workshop emphasized the importance of imagination in photography, demonstrating that capturing an image is not just about documentation but about creative interpretation. Participants explored fundamental techniques such as composition, lighting, and camera handling to enhance their visual storytelling skills.
Encouraging a shift from conventional perspectives, the workshop inspired attendees to view photography as a powerful form of artistic expression. Through hands-on activities, participants experimented with different subjects, from landscapes to portraits, applying their newfound skills in real-time. The session concluded with a showcase of selected photographs, reflecting the participants’ growth in creative vision and storytelling through images.
