As part of an academic enrichment initiative, students participated in a series of educational visits to prominent libraries and museums in Bhavnagar, gaining deeper insights into the region’s intellectual and cultural legacy. These visits offered firsthand exposure to historical archives, rare manuscripts, and extensive literary collections, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world exploration.
One of the key highlights was a visit to Gandhi Smriti, where students explored rare documents, letters, and artifacts related to Mahatma Gandhi’s life and philosophy. At Barton Library, one of Gujarat’s oldest libraries, an impressive collection of historical and literary works reflected Bhavnagar’s rich literary heritage. The visit to the Central Library of the University provided access to a diverse range of academic resources, research materials, and digital archives essential for higher studies. Additionally, the Pattani Archives & Library, known for its rare royal records and historical documents, offered a fascinating look into Bhavnagar’s past, enriching the students’ understanding of regional history.
