LECTURE SERIES ON MULTILEVEL MODELING
Multilevel models (also known as hierarchical linear models, linear mixed-effect model, mixed models, nested data models, or random-effects models) are statistical models of parameters that vary at more than one level. An example could be a model of student performance that contains measures for individual students as well as measures for classrooms within which the students are grouped. Multilevel models are particularly appropriate for research designs where data for participants are organized at more than one level (i.e., employees nested under one team leader). The units of analysis are usually individuals (at a lower level) who are nested within contextual/aggregate units (at a higher level). While the lowest level of data in multilevel models is usually an individual, repeated measurements of individuals may also be examined. Multilevel models can be used on data with many levels, although 2-level models are the most common.

LECTURE SERIES ON COVARIANCE-BASED SEM
Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a statistical methodology that is widely used in social sciences research (especially marketing, organizational behavior, human resource management, psychology, behavioral finance and behavioral economics). SEM allows a researcher to test complex models with multiple pathways, model latent variables with multiple indicators, investigate mediation and moderation in a systematic way and adjust for measurement error in predictor variables.
This lecture series shall provide the audience a general introduction to Covariance-Based SEM (CB-SEM). The series will be based on a combination of theoretical and practice-oriented sessions that will provide working knowledge of AMOS, a statistical software.

LECTURE SERIES ON PSYCHOMETRICS
The purpose of this lecture series is to introduce to the participants the central concepts of measurement. The series takes a “nuts and bolts” approach, covering the critical aspects of psychometric theory including test construction, item analysis, reliability, validity, and measurement error. The series is structured around a framework of measurement principles and will be based on a combination of theoretical and practice-oriented sessions that will provide working knowledge of concepts using statistical software like SPSS and AMOS.
