DESCRIPTION: How do you balance everything and stay happy, motivated, and healthy? I will give suggestions from my personal experiences and also make it more of a collaborative conversation so all staff members can learn from and help each other. I will relate to staff on medical issues, depression/anxiety, keeping yourself healthy, bouncing back from sickness, caring for young kids, taking courses/reinventing yourself, being creative to make it all work, finding time for yourself, and completing work/making deadlines through it all. I will open with a short “relatability” icebreaker. I would also like to use the time to remind staff how they can relate to their students and help them through their personal challenges (organization, over-thinking, managing related services, sports, siblings, sickness, etc). The goal is to show staff how alike we all are and help staff to see how they can balance it all and guide their students to do the same, so everyone can be more successful.
