VDC Overview

The purpose of this website is to supplement the HLAA* Rochester NY Assistive Listening Device Demonstration Center (Demo Center) with the following information:

• additional information about products that are currently available for evaluation in the Demo Center

• other Assistive Listening Device (ALD) products and services

• assistive listening apps for PC, MAC, Smartphone, Tablet

• links to educational information on hearing loss and ALD Technologies

• links to assistive listening accessories from hearing aid and cochlear implant manufacturers

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) believes that information about products and services that could benefit people with hearing loss should be made available to consumers to help them make informed decisions about their hearing health care.

As such, reference and information regarding specific products, including claims made by third parties does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by HLAA toward any manufacturers, vendor or advertiser, nor does exclusion suggest disapproval.

While we make every effort to provide accurate, and reliable information, HLAA does not control or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or efficacy of information regarding products by those who sell them. Due to the nature of devices for people with hearing loss, we do not guarantee that any one or group of products will work well for every individual with hearing loss who uses that device.
