The conserved modules were compared to the cell penetrating peptide (CPP) database and their CPP activity was predicted using the webtool. As observed in the experimentally characterized CPPs, the peptides enriched for positively charged residues (Lys K, Arg R, His H) were predicted to have CPP activity. Two of the modules (1 and 6) showed CPP activity for all members.
