Hi, I’m Violet Michel. I am a senior in high school currently enrolled in my school’s ROP Digital and Traditional Photography program. Even before I started this class, I’ve always had a passion for taking photos. For me, it’s about capturing a moment so I can keep it forever.

My interest in photography really grew through my family. My sister gifted me my first camera, and later, my grandpa gave me one that he hadn't used. Since then, I’ve also saved up to buy my own gear so I can explore different styles.

I started carrying a camera in my pocket or purse whenever I went out, and I quickly realized that I was noticing beautiful details in scenes that most people just walk past. Now, I bring a camera with me almost everywhere, whether I’m at a music festival, exploring the redwood forest, or just out to breakfast with my family.
