QUEEN B
Beyonce Giselle Knowles, or famously known as “Queen B/Beyonce” was born and raised in Houston, Texas, USA. An American singer, song writer and actress who started her career in the late 1990s. At a young age of nine Beyonce formed an all-girl singing-rapping group called Destiny’s child in 1990, along with her childhood friends. Having considered as the leader of the group, Beyonce was the writer of Destiny’s Child hit songs , such as the famed “bootylicious”. But eventually, because of some certain reasons, the group has decided to part ways ad pursue individual path in the music industry. Beyonce used her song writing talent to release her first album as a solo artist, Dangerously in love in 2003.
For years, Beyoncé has used her incredible voice to empower others and her platform to champion positive change.
Since high school, I have been a strong supporter of women's empowerment. And the first time I heard Beyonce’s song "Single Ladies" on one of my classmates' playlists, it immediately got my attention. After knowing who sang that song, I did my research and found out that the artist is Beyonce. After doing some more research on Beyonce, I discovered that she is not only one of the most prominent music icons of our time, but also one of the most prominent feminists. By encouraging self-love, self-acceptance, and sexual empowerment, Beyoncé wants women all over the world to feel good about who they are, who they love, and where they come from.

Some of Beyoncé's most powerful performances have had her taking the stage in her dance shoes. Beyoncé's ability to move her body to the beat of the song with expertise and sass adds strength to the feminine image when she dances. She challenges the popular belief that ladies move their hips cautiously to the pulse of music.
Beyoncé's blockbuster tune "Single Ladies" was published in 2008, and it was over a year later when she and two backup dancers rocked a tough dance performance in a matching music video production. "If you liked it, you should have placed a ring on it," the lyrics say. This movement and phrase combo is Beyoncé's way of asking males throughout the world to treat women with respect.Beyoncé's bold, carefree, and confident demeanor portrays her as the embodiment of a powerful and independent woman.
Run the World (Girls), soon becoming one of the most well-known female empowerment songs of the century, Run the World manages to convey a very clear message about women throughout the world and the role of women in the global system.
In one of her songs, Flawless, she quotes activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on what she considers to be a feminist — "a person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes." This is the person that Beyoncé is and has made known across her business. This song is significant because it features a piece of a lecture delivered by the incredible Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (who is a prominent author, activist, and feminist). The song perfect, according to Beyonce, denotes being more than someone's wife. Even as modern-day pundits like Hanna Rosin, Maureen Dowd, and Sheryl Sandberg have taken up the baton, speculating about the "end of men" and the dangers of allowing your career to be derailed by family, Beyoncé has managed to become the world's biggest female pop star while cultivating her marriage, motherhood, and sexuality. In so manner, she is ushering in a new era of feminism.
Nonetheless, her most essential contribution to the entertainment business has been her recognition as a feminist role model in today's gender equality movement. She has established as a feminist icon with her fiery choreography, song lyrics, and aesthetic stage presence. Beyoncé has developed an image of power and independence for women all around the world, and she has utilized it to urge women to speak out for themselves.
To say it all, Beyonce is well-known for being an empowered female role model who advocates for women's rights and gender equality in our culture. She is, in fact, the one who stated that we must teach our sons the norms of justice and respect so that as they develop, gender equality becomes a natural way of life. On one of her interviews, she mentioned that “It’s important to my children that they see themselves as CEOs, as bosses, and that they know they can write the script for their own lives—that they can speak their minds and they have no ceiling. They don’t have to be a certain type or fit into a specific category. They don’t have to be politically correct, as long as they’re authentic, respectful, compassionate, and empathetic. They can explore any religion, fall in love with any race, and love who they want to love.” And “ My mother taught me the importance not just of being seen but of seeing myself.”
She believes that first step to gender equality in the world is to empower women and oneself to mentally strengthen themselves.
I consider her to be one of today's most iconic feminine characters because she has actually empowered a generation of women by asking them to enjoy their divine femininity via the strong words of her songs. Women's empowerment, in my opinion, cannot be successful unless women at the bottom of society are empowered. People should be acknowledged, complimented, and cherished rather than condemned, mocked, or coerced into accepting their flaws. Gender equality is attainable if we remember to love ourselves first. Remember that, "Feminism does not seek to empower women. Women are already strong. It is all about influencing how the rest of the world perceives your power."
