This is my fourth year on Viking Voice, and it has truly been a joy to work alongside with such amazing people and with such an incredible organization. Besides Viking Voice, I am a member of the Vikings' golf and basketball teams as well as a member of NHS, Student Council treasurer, FCA/FCS devotion leader, and Key Club president. I am a devoted Christ Follower, and I always strive to live for God's purposes in me. I am very close with my family, which includes my brother, my sister, my brother-in-law, my niece, my Mom, and my Dad. I love spending time at church, spending time with my friends, and being outside. I have been going to Community all my life, and there's no other place I'd rather be. Community is kind of like my home away from home, and this school has made an enormous impact on my life. I am extremely excited for this school year, and I can't wait to see what God has planned for the future!
This will be my fourth year on the staff. Grayson and I have been given a privilege that no one else in Community High School has ever been given, which is serving on the Viking Voice for four years! I am also a four year member of the basketball, golf, and soccer teams. I am also a member of NHS, Book Club, Key Club, Student Council, and I am also the FCA/FCS Project manager. I have attended Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church my whole life, and I have also lived in Unionville my whole life. Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." This is my senior year, so after this year I will be attending college and living in the "real world," and I will take all of the lessons I have learned at Community and use them in my daily life.
Hello, everyone! I'm so glad to see you here! I’m Ana Ragland and I’m a Senior here at Community High School. This is my second year on the Viking Voice staff, and let me tell you; it's been fantastic! I’ve been at Community since the middle of my sixth grade year; moving was scary, but I’ve had such a delightful experience here in Tennessee. I’ve made an abundance of memories; some good, some bad, but overall, I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime. I’m originally from Virginia and moved to TN back in 2013. Since then, I have become more open and involved in multiple activities such as Color Guard, Key Club, NHS, the Viking Voice, and so much more. I attend Life Restoration Church and have been saved since April 8, 2018. I am constantly trying my best to spread the love of Christ and make all those I'm around feel blessed. My writing style and preference is editorial and creative. Expressing yourself and who you are is a big aspect to myself and my overall morals. I believe in never changing who you are, making friends, and being the very best you you can be! Just remember, never give up and follow your dreams!
I am a senior at Community High School! I am excited to begin my first year on the newsletter staff! I currently serve as the president for both Student Council and FCA/FCS. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Math and Science Clubs.I have always had a love for sports! In fact, my soccer career began at the age of four, and several years later I began my basketball career. This year, I embark on my final seasons in both sports. On top of all my activities at school, I am actively involved in my church’s youth ministry. If I am not at school, you can find me at church. I spend my remaining free time filming and editing videos. I aspire to go to college and major in the field of media communications. If you know me, you know that I am a huge Carrie Underwood fan. I had the privilege of getting to meet her this summer! I would love to one day be able to attend a show on her tour! Most importantly, I want to shine my light for Christ everywhere I go!
This is my very first year as a member of the Viking Voice newsletter staff, and I am excited to see what this year holds for us! I currently serve as the Student Council secretary, Key Club treasurer, and FCA/FCS secretary. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. I play volleyball, softball, and basketball. I attend Chapel Hill Church of Christ, and I am very active in my youth group. Living my life for Christ is my goal every day. In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, attend church events, and read a good book. I like to spend time with my grandma and granddaddy and help them on their farm. I am super excited to be apart of the Viking Voice, and I am glad God blessed me with this opportunity to work with such a great group of people!
This is my third year on the Viking Voice, and I am so excited for the year to come. As a staff, we have come up with so many new ideas that we can't wait to show you. Besides being on the staff, I am the vice president of Student Council, a member of key club, a member of National Honor Society, and a member of FCA/FCS. I am a manager for girls basketball and softball. I am very active with my youth group, and I strive to be like Christ everyday. In my free time I like to play golf with my dad, bake, and spend time with my family and friends. I've been at Community since kindergarten, and there is no better place to be. Being part of the Community family is one of the best things I have ever been apart of.
I am beginning my third year as a Viking Voice member, and it has been such a fun experience. I am enthused about the year to come, and I can't wait to see what the Viking Voice has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as basketball and cross country, but I also like to attend church and listen to music. I am involved in a plethora of in school activities such as Student Council, Key Club, FCA/FCS, and NHS. I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and my church family out of school.
Hello! I would love to tell you a little bit about me. This is my third year on the Viking Voice staff, and I can't wait to create more stories for you all to enjoy. Many of my peers would say that I'm very sweet, dedicating, smart, and diligent. My hobbies include drawing, singing, reading books, writing poetry, and playing the keyboard. I'm also on my school's color guard team, National Honor Society (NHS), and vice president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students (FCA/FCS).
Hi, I'm Karissa McAnally. This is my first year being on The Viking Voice staff, and I am very excited to write stories for you guys to read! I really enjoy reading and writing, that's why I applied to be apart of this amazing team! I have been writing since the fifth grade, and have enjoyed it since then. Reading and writing give me a break from all the usual high school stress. So far, the Viking Voice is the only club that I have joined, but I can't wait to see what else there is for me. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, whether we have a whole day planned out or if we are just lounging around and watching TV. So that's a little about me, I hope you guys enjoy our articles!
Hey, everyone! I'm Jewel Hewitt! This is my second year being a part of the Viking Voice staff. I am a major pop culture junkie and a lover of music. My favorite show is Supernatural. My favorite band is Journey. I'm a Ravenclaw at heart, and I love anything Marvel. I'm kinda socially awkward, and newsletter has helped me with putting myself out there. Newsletter is a major part of my life as it allows me to be myself. Throughout my time in newsletter, I have learned that there isn't a 'type' that you should expect to be in newsletter. Everyone is welcome in newsletter, and I love it.
Ms. Williams is a lifelong resident of Unionville and alumnus of the Community schools. She is from a family of educators and actively enjoys music by singing in her church choir and performing with her old-time string band. Ms. Williams is especially fond of English and her hound dog, Cletus. Ms. Williams was a member of the Viking Voice staff when she was in high school, so her passions for journalism have grown even more as a sponsor!
