Project Team

Jane is the Principal Investigator of Project Silver and has overall responsibility for its management. She specialises in Viking-Age material culture, and leads analysis of the silver objects.

Stephen specialises in archaeomaterials, particularly silver. Previously a a post-doc at the German Mining Museum, Bochum, he is responsible for the project's lead isotope and trace element work.

Jani is a coin specialist, focusing on early medieval dirhams. He joins the project from the Coin Cabinet at the National Museum in Helsinki, Finland, and is responsible for the project's numismatic aspects.
