Teaching

I teach the below-mentioned courses at SIT Tumkur. If you have any specific questions about course topics, feel free to message my office, and I would be responding as soon as possible.

N5CVI01: Water Supply & Wastewater Engineering

This is a course that introduce the students to the need for protected water supply, methods of estimation of water demand, collection, and conveyance system of water, testing and analysis of water. This course gives students an introduction to the basic theories and application of a selected set of methods for design and analysis of the unit operations and unit processes of water and wastewater treatment to conform to relevant standards.

I used to teach the below-mentioned courses at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. If you have any specific questions about course topics, feel free to message my office, and I would be responding as soon as possible.

CV755: Water & Air Quality Modeling

Semester: VII Offered: 2021 & 2022

Many environmental problems, such as damage to the biosphere, local air pollution, the spread of harmful substances in the water, and global climatic changes cannot be studied experimentally. Hence, mathematical models and computer simulations are being used as appropriate means to get more insight.

OECV73: Hazardous Waste Engineering

Semester: VII Offered: 2021 & 2022

The field of hazardous waste engineering is complex and interdisciplinary in nature and requires professionals with diverse background working together to solve the continuously growing as well as changing according to the global settings. This multidisciplinary open-elective course provides an in-depth understanding of hazardous waste – characteristics, treatment, and it's appropriate characteristics-based management. Fundamentals of hazardous waste characterization and handling, environmental legislations for hazardous waste transport, risk assessment, basics understanding of waste minimization, stabilization, treatment and disposal will be provided.

CV13: Engineering Mechanics

Semester: I/II Offered: 2020, 2021 & 2022

This is a basic first level course to learn rigid body mechanics covering both statics and dynamics. Statics covers free body diagrams, equilibrium of rigid bodies, analysis of determinate beams, discussion on friction. Dynamics deals with general plane motion of rigid bodies, use of translating and rotating frames of reference for analysis.

CV403: Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Engineering

Semester: III/IV Offered: 2021 & 2022

Fluid Mechanics covers the basic principles and its applications in Civil Engineering. The students will have new problem-solving approaches like control volume concept and streamline patterns which are nowadays required to solve the real-life complex problems.
