Dr. Vijay's current research interests address the nexus among sustainability, resiliency, infrastructure, water, and the environment. 

His research interests focus on: 

(1) Remediation of polluted environmental compartments; 

(2) Hazardous waste engineering, waste containment, and landfill engineering; 

(3) Characterization and engineering applications of waste/recycled materials; 

(4) Sustainable & resilient Engineering; 

(5) Environmental Engineering
