ViewFix Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
This policy explains how the ViewFix: Creator Content Check app ("ViewFix", "the app", "we") handles information. ViewFix is published by Ajay Kumar Maurya, an individual developer based in India.
Information you type into the app
Hooks, captions, bios and quiz answers you enter in the hook, caption, bio and check-up tools are analyzed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Your past results are stored only on your device so you can view them later. You can delete them at any time from Help > Delete my saved checks, or by uninstalling the app.
Link and profile analysis
When you use "Analyze a link", what you enter is sent over an encrypted connection to the ViewFix server, hosted on Cloudflare. This can be a YouTube or Instagram post, video, channel or profile link, an Instagram @username, or a link you share to ViewFix from another app. When you open a report, the app may also look up related public accounts, such as accounts in the same niche or a competitor you type in. The server uses this information only to look up public data through the official YouTube Data API and the Instagram API, and sends the results back to your device. Results may be cached on the server for up to 24 hours so repeat lookups are faster, and then they are deleted automatically. We don't sell this information or share it with anyone else.
To save you typing, the app remembers your own Instagram @username (if you mark it as yours) and the last few @usernames you checked. They are stored only on your device. You can remove them by clearing the app's storage in your Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Leaderboard (optional)
Joining the weekly leaderboard is your choice. If you join, you give us your Instagram @username. To confirm the account is yours, you add a short code to your Instagram bio and our server reads your public bio through the Instagram API. We then store your @username, your public Instagram name and profile picture link, a random player ID created by the app, and your points on our server (hosted on Cloudflare). Points are counted when you finish a check or analysis, up to 25 a day, and reset every Monday.
Your @username, name, profile picture and points are shown to other ViewFix users. This is the same public information anyone can already see on your Instagram profile. We do not show your email, phone number, location or anything else. Please be aware that other people can see your leaderboard entry and may visit or contact your public Instagram account. We do not control what other people do with public information, and we are not responsible for how others use it or for any contact they make with you outside ViewFix. If someone misuses your information, please report it to us and to Instagram.
You can leave the leaderboard at any time from the Leaderboard tab, which deletes your entry from our server immediately.
YouTube and Instagram
ViewFix uses YouTube API Services. By using link analysis, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) describes how Google handles data. Instagram data is provided through Meta's Instagram API and only covers public Business and Creator accounts. ViewFix never asks you to sign in to YouTube, Google or Instagram, and has no access to your accounts or passwords.
No accounts
ViewFix does not ask you to sign up or log in, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
Advertising
ViewFix shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares certain data with Google, including:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location
- Product interactions, such as app launches, taps and ad views
- Diagnostic information about app and ad performance
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID
This data is encrypted in transit. Google's use of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings under Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
Security
We use encrypted connections and reasonable security measures to protect the little information we store. However, no app, server or internet service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorized access to information caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as attacks on or failures of third-party services. If we become aware of a security problem that affects you, we will act on it and inform users as required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your saved checks in the app, leave the leaderboard at any time, and ask us to delete or correct any information we hold about you by emailing us. See our data deletion page: https://sites.google.com/view/viewfix-privacy-policy/data-deletion
Children
ViewFix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The leaderboard is only for public Business and Creator Instagram accounts.
