More than 100km from Ho Chi Minh City with about 2 hours of travel, Vinh Long Province in recent years has emerged as a tourist destination worth visiting in Vietnam, with many impressive attractions. One of them is the first cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam - My Thuan Bridge is over 1.5km long, inaugurated in 2000 with the outstanding design of two H-shaped bridge towers. This has always been a leading check-in place of the whole Mekong Delta. If you go to visit Vinh Long city without taking a picture with My Thuan bridge, that would be a missed trip.
One of the “specialties” of the river region that cannot be ignored is the floating market, with the Tra On floating market in Vinh Long being a prominent example. Located on the peaceful Hau River, although small in size, it is still an important focal point of the region, filled with boats selling colorful ornamental flowers and attractive fruit and breakfast dishes. The market starts bustling from dawn, so to fully enjoy the rhythm of river life, you should wake up early and take a tour here, enjoy a hot bowl of beef noodle soup, sip a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise.
