Visual PowerPoints, printable parent toolkits and a facilitation pack for autism-informed parent sessions.
This page brings together free resources to help SENDCos and school teams run autism-informed parent coffee mornings, parent sessions or home–school conversations.
Start here:
Download the SENDCo Parent Partnership Guide first. Then choose a PowerPoint and print or share the matching Autism Toolkit pages. The printable toolkit pages can be used within parent sessions, shared with parents and carers, or used to support individual home–school conversations. The slides use clear language and visual prompts, so they may be adapted for multilingual parent groups where appropriate.
These resources can be used flexibly. Schools can run a one-off coffee morning, a short parent session, or a sequence of informal sessions. Parents and carers do not need to buy The Autism Toolkit to attend a session or benefit from the free resources. The book gives the fuller explanation, structure and context for schools or families who want to explore the ideas further.
