I was the developer and writer for this series of booklets covering pregnancy, birth, immediate postpartum, newborn, and the first year. These patient education booklets  are designed to be used alone or with a video-rich app. They can also be used in instructor-led classes with corresponding PowerPoints and videos. These books have won several health education awards for clear writing,  comprehensive and concise content, and user experience.

Every educational asset benefits from a clear user guide outlining its educational purpose and best practice tips to achieve the most effective learning outcomes. They include how-to steps on accessing and using the material, an overview of the content, suggested learning objectives and lesson plans, discussion questions, in-class activities, quiz questions, and a list of resources and references.

"Just-in-time" information empowers learners to apply and retain important lessons in everyday contexts. Plain language, clear visuals, and interactivity encourage  integration into daily routines.  Examples include this feeding log, a perinatal depression handout, quizzes, developmental milestones worksheet, and childproofing checklists, among many others.
