An exciting chapter in my life as a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow (MSCA-PF) is beginning in Prague (one of the most beautiful cities in the world!)
I am excited to share that I will be conducting my research at FZU - Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, supported by the European Commission through the MSCA postdoctoral fellowship.
Thank you, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS Japan), for the incredible research experience during my first postdoctoral position and the support that shaped my journey. Grateful for the memories and looking forward to new challenges ahead!
Many thanks for your love, support, blessings, and inspiration throughout this journey!
I joined the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) Japan as a Postdoctoral Researcher/scientist on 11th April 2022 and worked there till November 2024. NIMS is one of the world's largest material databases for material selection, use, and development.
Actually, this is what I dreamed of (to work/study in Japan for some time) when I visited Japan in 2018 as a Summer School participant at The University of Tokyo (UTokyo), Japan. This is why I strongly believe that if you work hard enough, your dreams can become a reality.
Thank you dear well-wishers for so many blessings, love and support ♥️
Finally! A Dream Come True...
Officially Dr. Vickey Nandal
Finally, I received my Ph.D. from IIT Delhi on 13th November 2021.
To be honest, I never expected to experience so much joy in my life. This satisfaction and joy cannot be expressed in words. It's something that can only be experienced. The happiness I felt is clearly shown in the smile on my face in the photo with my thesis report.
Above all, I want to express my gratitude to my Ph.D. mentors (Prof. Suresh Neelakantan and Prof. Jayant Jain), professors, family, and friends for their continuous guidance, love, and support during my journey.
I'm extremely proud because I'm the first in my family to receive a doctorate degree and I don't know how to put my sentiments into words. I'm assuming you understand what I'm trying to say. During my Ph.D. journey, I have learned to be humble, to be patient, to work hard, to enjoy both success and failure, and to live in the moment.
Experience is a fantastic teacher, and I'm confident that sharing mine can help you deal with your research issues and struggles. So let's get started! Keep these points in mind at all times.
Don't COMPARE your journey with others, BELIEVE in yourself, SURROUND yourself with positive people, Great thing takes time- so be PATIENT, Be HUMBLE and the most importantly CELEBRATE SMALL GOALS (regularly) during your journey.
Keep RISING!! Keep SHINING!!
