Dr. Vickey Nandal has been serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher/Scientist at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan, since April 2022. Recently, he published his postdoctoral research in Nature's Scientific Reports and was honored with the "Best Presentation Award" at the 14th ISAJ Symposium at Hokkaido University, Japan.
Dr. Vickey Nandal has been serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher/Scientist at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan, since April 2022. Recently, he published his postdoctoral research in Nature's Scientific Reports and was honored with the "Best Presentation Award" at the 14th ISAJ Symposium at Hokkaido University, Japan.
Dr. Nandal earned his Ph.D. in August 2021 from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). In recognition of his research, he received an early-doc fellowship from the institute. His Ph.D. thesis focused on the "Effect of alloying and pre-deformation on the aging response of FCC-based Co1.5CrFeNi1.5 high entropy alloys with varying Ti and Al contents." During his Ph.D., he also received a fellowship from the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Dr. Nandal earned his Ph.D. in August 2021 from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). He has been acknowledged for his research by the TMS HEA 2019 committee members at an international conference in Seattle, Washington, USA, in November 2019. Additionally, he was invited in a GMSI-GSDM Summer Camp hosted by Prof. Satoshi Watanabe (University of Tokyo, Japan) in July-August 2018.

He completed his B.Tech. degree in July 2013 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at JMIT, Radaur, affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Haryana, India. For his bachelor's studies, Dr. Nandal was honored with a four-year Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
