Vic Newey Miniatures

Working as a scenic artist and special effects painter I was responsible for the finished effects on many famous film and TV classics. The Old curiosity Shop, Oliver Twist, Martin Chuzzlewit and all creatures great and small to name but a few. Using similar special paint effects and materials I turned my  hand to miniatures and slowly expanded the range of buildings to meet the growing demand worldwide. Collectors Dollhouses are finely detailed with hand cut individual floorboards, flagstones, tiles and beams etc, which are then aged and weathered to give a true to life effect not usually found on dolls houses.

Now aged 79 I have been retired for quite some time but both my old websites have still been available to view. Recently however, the company that hosted my website for decades decided to sell up and my files were transferred to the new host who also wanted a 400% price increase. Somehow the files got corrupted and now are all lost. Luckily I have most of the photo's stored in a box and some on CD so I have remade this free Google website in a more compacted form.  Select from below for Watermills & Windmills  made for a museum or use the dropdown menu above to select collectors models, dollhouses etc.

A fine late Tudor 6 roomed Merchants house in 1/12" scale.

A 1/96" scale model of a floating watermill called a Boat Mill or sometimes a Ship Mill, once common in many parts of Europe but there is no evidence they were ever made in the UK
