“You’ve arrived in the house, a quiet and protected enclave surrounded by nature. Put down your suitcase - it’s time to relax, let yourself slow down and take the time to live at your own pace. It’s time to enjoy the sea’s grand spectacle and notice the sailing boats and seagulls dancing over the Channel. The sofa is ready to welcome you with a book or some calming music on the radio.

The Paddock opens its doors for your yoga session, allowing you to connect to the greenery of the countryside while protecting you from drops of rain. As night falls, it’s time to reunite and share a moment of tranquility.

That’s what Veulettes means to us. It’s the spirit of the house, a timeless moment set to the rhythm of your wishes.”

A holiday for all the family, suited to kids and grownups and just a moment’s walk from the sea

“You have arrived safely in your home for the week, surrounded by our family’s shared history.

What do you fancy this morning? Perhaps a breath of sea air and a walk along the sea wall. As you take the path downhill from the house, you’ll see the water unfurling in front of you, sometimes turquoise, sometimes deep blue. A few steps further and you’ll smell the salt in the air and be able to dip your toes in the water. There’s time to build a sandcastle and skim a few stones before heading back up for lunch in the garden, your seat overlooking the sea as it stretches before you to the horizon. After lunch, lean back in your deckchair to enjoy the midday sun and a gentle breeze. Perhaps a quick nap in the sun, or tucked comfortably in your bedroom away from the slightest disturbance. Didn’t Granny promise we could make pancakes together this afternoon? … allow yourself to give in to a slower pace of life during your stay. You’ve got all the time in the world.”

Now it’s time for a walk, allowing the river Durdent to lead you along an unchallenging footpath to Paluel. You’ll turn for home as the first drops of rain start to fall and enjoy a steaming cup of tea or hot chocolate.

Board games and assorted reading materials… "

“The house is yours for the week. It is the perfect month to discover what Normandy has to offer; fresh sea air, hiking and trails, and seaside activities. Perhaps you’ll enjoy a spirited game of ping-pong before taking a leap 75 years into the past and discovering the wartime German bunkers hidden in the local landscape, and feeling history come alive around you.

In the evening, maybe a fresh-caught seafood dinner in one of the restaurants along the sea wall for a taste of local flavours. Then, a night in your own personal cocoon, cozy in bed with the sea waiting just outside your window to greet you as you wake up. In the morning, a quick walk or jog to the village bakery to pick up freshly baked croissants still warm from the oven. Will you try biking or boating today? Or maybe an outing to discover the nearby Etretat cliffs? Don’t forget, tomorrow you’re going to fish for shrimp and then enjoy a glass of something in the evening sun…”
