This Privacy Policy describes how [REQUIRES MANUAL INPUT: company legal name] ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the VetReady mobile application ("VetReady" or the "App"). VetReady is a pet health journal that helps you track your pet's symptoms, medications, weight, vet visits, and daily routines.
By downloading, installing, or using VetReady, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use the App.
When you use VetReady, you may voluntarily enter the following information, which is stored locally on your device:
Pet profile information: pet name, species, breed, date of birth, sex, neutered/spayed status, photo, microchip ID, insurance provider, known allergies, and medical conditions.
Veterinarian information: vet name and vet phone number.
Health logs: symptom entries (title, severity, notes), medication logs (name, dose, frequency, prescriber, supply tracking), weight records, vet visit records, and free-form notes.
Custom symptoms: user-created symptom names for logging.
App preferences: preferred weight unit, theme preference (light, dark, or system), daily log reminder time, refill alert threshold, and iCloud Backup toggle state.
VetReady requests access to your device photo library solely to let you attach photos to pet profiles and health log entries. Photos you select are compressed, resized, and saved locally to the App's document storage on your device. We do not upload photos to any external server. If you enable iCloud Backup, pet profile photos are synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit (see Section 3.2).
VetReady offers a one-time, lifetime in-app purchase ("VetReady Pro") processed entirely through the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as our in-app purchase management service. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app-user identifier generated by its SDK to verify your purchase entitlements and manage subscription status. We do not receive or store your Apple ID, payment card details, or billing address. Apple processes all payment transactions subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
VetReady does not collect or process:
Your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
Precise or coarse location data.
Contacts or address book information.
Browsing history, search history, or web activity.
Health or fitness data from Apple HealthKit or any device health sensor.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or cross-app tracking identifiers.
Crash reports, diagnostics, or analytics data sent to any third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.
VetReady does not require you to create an account, and we do not have any user authentication system (no email login, no Apple Sign-In, no social login). You use VetReady without providing any personally identifiable information to us.
All data you enter into VetReady — pet profiles, health logs, medications, custom symptoms, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using an embedded SQLite database (via WatermelonDB) and AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud Backup (see Section 3.2).
VetReady does not operate any proprietary backend server, cloud database, or API endpoint. We do not transmit your pet data, health logs, photos, or preferences to any server we own or operate.
We use the data you provide solely to deliver the features of VetReady:
Displaying your pet profiles, health logs, and medication tracking on-screen.
Generating PDF vet reports from your logged data that you can share with your veterinarian via the iOS share sheet.
Scheduling local notifications for daily log reminders and medication refill alerts on your device using the Notifee library. Notification content is generated and scheduled entirely on-device and is not sent through any remote push notification service.
Storing your app preferences (theme, weight unit, reminder settings) in on-device persistent storage.
If you are a VetReady Pro user and choose to enable iCloud Backup, VetReady syncs your pet data (profiles, logs, medications, custom symptoms, and pet profile photos) to your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. This feature uses Apple's private CloudKit database, meaning the data is stored in your personal iCloud storage and is accessible only by you. We cannot access, read, or retrieve your CloudKit-stored data.
iCloud Backup allows you to restore your data on a new device or after reinstalling the App. You can disable iCloud Backup at any time from the Settings screen within VetReady, and you can delete your iCloud-stored data using the "Delete All Data" function in the App.
Apple's handling of your iCloud data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
VetReady uses the RevenueCat SDK to verify whether you have purchased VetReady Pro. RevenueCat communicates with the Apple App Store to validate purchase receipts. RevenueCat assigns a pseudonymous identifier to your app installation for this purpose. No personal information (name, email, payment details) is shared with RevenueCat by VetReady. RevenueCat's handling of data is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
VetReady integrates the following third-party services:
RevenueCat: In-app purchase management and entitlement verification
Pseudonymous app-user ID; purchase receipt validation via Apple
Apple CloudKit: Optional iCloud Backup (user-initiated)
Pet profiles, health logs, medications, custom symptoms, pet photos — stored in user's private iCloud container
Apple App Store: Payment processing for in-app purchases
Payment and transaction data (handled entirely by Apple)
VetReady does not integrate any analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude), crash reporting SDKs (such as Sentry or Crashlytics), advertising SDKs, or social media SDKs.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information or pet data to any third party. We have never sold personal information and will not do so in the future.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms. VetReady does not display advertisements.
We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:
Legal obligations: If required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental regulation.
Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public, as required or permitted by law.
Because VetReady stores all data locally on your device (or in your personal iCloud account if enabled), we generally do not have access to your data and therefore have nothing to disclose.
Your data persists on your device for as long as VetReady is installed and you choose to keep it. If you enable iCloud Backup, your data also persists in your personal iCloud account until you delete it.
We do not retain any copy of your data on any server.
You can delete all of your data at any time by using the "Delete All Data" function in the App's Settings screen. This action:
Permanently erases all pet profiles, health logs, medications, custom symptoms, and preferences from your device.
If iCloud Backup is enabled, also deletes all data stored in your iCloud CloudKit container.
Clears all locally cached preferences and state.
This deletion is irreversible. You may also uninstall the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data.
VetReady is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation, does not collect names or email addresses, and does not use analytics or advertising.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at developer@mail.to, and we will take steps to address the concern.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Right of access: You can view all your data directly within the App at any time.
Right to rectification: You can edit any pet profile, log entry, or medication directly within the App.
Right to erasure: You can delete all your data using the "Delete All Data" function in Settings.
Right to data portability: You can export your pet's health data as a PDF report and share it via the iOS share sheet.
Right to restrict processing: Because all processing occurs locally on your device, you can restrict processing by revoking camera or photo library permissions in your device's Settings app, disabling notifications, or disabling iCloud Backup.
Right to object: You may stop using the App at any time.
Legal basis for processing: We process your data based on your explicit consent (you voluntarily enter data into the App) and on the basis of performing the contract to provide you with the App's functionality.
Because VetReady stores and processes data exclusively on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account), we act primarily as a provider of the software tool rather than as a data controller who collects your data on remote servers. Nevertheless, we respect all obligations under the GDPR.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights:
Right to know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect. As described in this policy, VetReady collects only the data you voluntarily enter, stored locally on your device. We do not collect data on remote servers.
Right to delete: You can delete all your data using the "Delete All Data" function in Settings.
Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell your personal information. VetReady has never sold personal information.
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
In accordance with Apple's App Store guidelines (section 5.1.1), the following summarizes VetReady's data practices for the App Store privacy nutrition labels:
Data Not Linked to You:
Purchase history (verified via RevenueCat using a pseudonymous identifier)
Product interaction data (stored locally — app preferences and feature usage state)
Data Not Collected:
Contact info, health and fitness data, financial info, location, contacts, search history, browsing history, identifiers (IDFA), diagnostics, usage data, sensitive info.
VetReady does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
All data is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database with no remote transmission.
iCloud Backup data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple CloudKit infrastructure.
Pet profile photos are compressed and stored in the App's private document directory, inaccessible to other apps.
The App does not use exempt encryption (declared as ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption: false).
However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because VetReady processes all data locally on your device, there are no international data transfers initiated by us. If you enable iCloud Backup, Apple may store your CloudKit data in data centers located in various countries, subject to Apple's privacy practices and applicable data transfer safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of VetReady after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
