This is a Microsoft Excel workbook that I created to help fellow students practice subnetting a network id by the number of devices they need per network. In this video, I demonstrate how students input what they believe to be the correct answer and then can compare it by using the “Calculate sheet” button. This will respond with either a “correct” in green or “wrong” in red. It gives feedback to the students right away and allows for multiple attempts. To create a new network id and amount of devices, they just have to click on “Calculate now” and this will recalculate the whole workbook. The main calculations done to create network ids, number of devices, as well as the answers that are compared to the students, are done on another sheet that is hidden. This artifact shows a finished workbook that has some conditional formatting, formulas nesting, and having formulas refer to cells in another worksheet.
