To me, Hardware & Networking are the main ways we communicate as well as complete work in these modern days. If there is an issue with the desktop, then you can’t connect to the network. If you can’t connect to the network, you may not be able to access the resources you need to complete anything. Hardware skills are important cause desktops/laptops are the main devices that we use in the world today. Without being able to maintain them in working order then the workflow could stop. As for Networking, if it is not properly maintained we could run into issues such as IP conflicts or devices not being able to connect to the network. I would say being able to maintain desktops as well as being able to check on network connections. Knowing that if a computer can communicate to other computers but not the internet, greatly helps when trying to resolve an issue such as the internet is down.
