Thank you all for joining the class. Since next Monday is Labor Day (a holiday), there is no class next week. So today is the last day of class!
In our last lesson we watched a YouTube video on WH Questions and played a WH Question game. Then, we said our goodbyes with one final game on Greetings and Goodbyes.
I hope you enjoyed your introduction to English and will continue with your English language journey. Good luck and hope to see you again!
Unit 11 from English Made Easy, Volume 1 focuses on imperatives and vocabulary about the human body. Watch the video and play the games on Baamboozle: Spanish to English Imperatives, Body Parts, and Simon Says.
We also learned about WH Questions that are great for small talk conversations.
Homework: Read Unit 11 from English Made Easy, Volume 1 (pages 92 - 99)
Thanks Yesenia for the great conversation! I really enjoyed hearing about your family reunion during Easter break and learning more about your family including your crazy dog Tokyo. I urge everyone to go to your husband's restaurant El Kiosko Del Mofongo. The food looks delicious!
Happy Easter! There is no class tonight for Easter Monday. Enjoy this time with your family and friends and I will see you next week, Monday, April 8th.
Thank you to those who attended today's quiz. You will get the results after Easter break and we will review the answers after everyone has completed their quiz.
If you missed the quiz today, you will need to make-up the quiz.
Don't forget, next week is a holiday, so there is no class on Monday, April 1st.
Today’s lesson focused on Unit 9, and simple adjectives. You can find the videos and games for practicing adjectives for people, weather, food, and places on the Padlet. The Padlet also reviews Units 6 - 10 which will be on the second quiz next week, March 25th, 2024.
Today’s lesson focused on Unit 8, “I’m going to New York.” We worked on useful phrases for travel such as asking, “How much is/are…?” We also talked about calendars/dates and countries/nationalities.
We then began Unit 9, “This one is better.” We reviewed yes/no questions with “Do you like…?” and also talked about what we like to do.
Next week, we will continue with Unit 9 and learn about adjectives. Don’t forget, you have an upcoming quiz for Units 6 - 10 on March 25th. Have a wonderful week!

Hooray! We have reviewed the first five units from English Made Easy, Volume 1.
To review what we learned, you will take a quiz in class for Units 1 - 5 next Monday, February 26th. You must complete all class quizzes and the final exam to complete the course.
Quizzes and exams are all open-book. This means you can use your notes, your dictionary, your book, online sources, and previous activities to answer the questions. However, you may not ask another student or any other person to help you with the answers. You must answer the questions yourself.
Quizzes and exams are only taken during class time. This means that the link is only available to you while you are logged into Google Meet. You have the entire class time to finish the exam. When you are finished, you can log off of Google Meet.
We will review your quiz when everyone has completed the exam. To study for the quiz, use the following Padlet link to help you review the first five units and read Unit 5 (pp. 38 - 47) from English Made Easy, Volume 1. Make sure to complete the exercises and activities.

¡Hurra!
38 - 47) de English Made Easy, Volumen 1. Asegúrese de completar los ejercicios y actividades.
