Proposed by the client
Supported by the interview with client that he mentioned there are only 40-45 current students
Through the interview, Mr. Lee told us that the rental of his centre is RM1, 700 per month exclude utilities fees. Based on him, he mentioned that the revenue earned need to deduct with the rental fee, electricity and water fees, salary for tutors that caused him to facing a loss business (cost > revenue). He further mentioned that the salary given to his tutors is based on profit sharing where tutor will get 50% of the tuition fees for each of the students. Hence, he has insufficient revenue to cover all the cost.
The tuition centre is located at Arang Road, Kuching where there are a few competitors at this area such as Sri Maju Diri Tuition Centre, Quality Excellence Tuition Centre, M.E. Home Tuition and also Gifted-Child System Learning Network. According to our client, the reason that he choose to operate his tutoring business at this area is due to it is near to school (SMK Jalan Arang, SJK (C) Chung Hua 4 ½ , SJK (C) Chung Hua Sg. Lubak, etc.) to attract more customers to choose their services.
Mr. Lee claimed that his centre is lack of reputation since this tuition centre is newly established in the beginning of year 2020. Basically, the perception of customers or most of the parents will only choose to go to those tuition centre that has open for a long period or if the centre is well-known as they think that they have more experiences in teaching.
