Hi, I'm Venkatesh Kolluru, a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Sustainability, University of South Dakota. I'm currently working on NASA LULCC (Food - Energy - Water Nexus) project under Dr. Ranjeet John.

I pursued my Master of Technology (M.Tech) by Research in Remote Sensing and GIS at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India, in 2019.

Research Interest:

My research mainly focuses on studying eco-hydrological aspects related to grassland degradation, vegetation dynamics, land cover land use change, coupled natural and human systems, climate-vegetation interactions and socio-economic changes through the application of remote sensing and geospatial technologies. My current research links my eco-hydrology background with socio-ecological perspectives to study and understand the food, energy and water nexus changes in Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
