Input device representation refers to visual representations of the controllers or mappings to the controller's inputs (eg. buttons, joystick). This image shows the Oculus Touch controller with an added layer of stylized UI. In this image, even though we see a visual representation of a hand, the inputs (the joystick, buttons A & B and home) are visible. We are specifically looking for whether these inputs directly correspond spatially to the input devices.
