Viewport freezing is a frustrating and nauseating experience in most cases of VR use. This is when the user is busy with an objective in VR and the app scene freezes.
Smooth rotation is a way to look around in an experience. It may be more immersive than using snap rotation (see below); however, some users may get motion sickness.
Snap rotation is progressively turning from one point of rotation to the other as if the user’s view is immediately “snapped” to that point. In comparison to smooth rotation, where the world can feel like it is spinning around you, snap rotation provides a feeling of being grounded.
