Learn more about Input Devices
Most cameras sold today are digital. Digital cameras have little to no manual photographic control. Digital cameras produce and encode digital images and videos that can be stored on a device or computer and displayed on a screen. Digital cameras are incorporated into many devices such as mobile phones and vehicles. This type of camera is designed to work automatically (e.g., features/settings such as focusing, shooting, flash etc.) Every digital camera has a sensor which captures an image.
Advantages
Easily adjustments of photographs (cropping, filtering etc.).
Many photographs can be taken without worrying about frames.
Shots are seen immediately so one can decide if a shot is good or should be retaken.
Images and videos can be easily distributed.
Disadvantages
Images and videos that are not stored/backed up or imported to another device or cloud storage, can be easily lost if error occurs.
Can be costly when compared to older type cameras (e.g., film camera).
The storage space on devices (whether digital cameras or phones etc.) can be easily filled with images and video forcing one to delete or buy extra storage.
Considering the range of features and function on a digital camera, not all individuals will be able to manipulate the functions.
