Hosted by the Virginia Council for the Social Studies

The goals of the Virginia Council for the Social Studies are to foster professional growth, develop communication among stakeholders in the social studies community, and to promote the teaching of social studies in Virginia, the United States, and the international sphere. The Virginia Council of the Social Studies is an affiliate of the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS).

This year, the Virginia Council for the Social Studies Conference will be held at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. These two exquisite museums are located side-by-side on historic Arthur Ashe Boulevard in Richmond, Virginia. Conference attendees will be able to walk freely between the museums during the conference to enjoy sessions as well as the incredible exhibits at each museum.
