This was my first introduction to Graphic Design. I created these over the summer as a side project for my high school art teacher. These were the final designs that I ended up using with the text provided. I did not know how to use Photoshop yet, but I managed to pick it up fast enough.
The purpose of this project was to motivate students as they passed by the halls. The four banners were hung both upstairs and downstairs at the school.
The final printed banners in the downstairs hallway of my high school.
The Youth Art Month design contest for NJ runs every year with a different theme for students to create their designs. The theme for this year was “Your Art Your Voice”. I wanted to participate as I had in previous years, using Ibis Paint X on my phone. My idea was to utilize the uncontrollable nature of paint and scattered art supplies to represent the voices of others. I wanted my design to look loud, so I tried making the speakers look like they were towering over the girl as she uses her voice to affect everything around her.
