There is no textbook purchase required for this course. The instructor will prepare and provide all necessary instructional materials, guides, tutorials, and learning resources. Students should regularly check Canvas for course materials and assignments.

Technical Requirements

Because this course focuses on developing practical Microsoft Outlook skills, students will need regular access to the appropriate technology throughout the course.

Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365 — Required: Students will use Microsoft Outlook to complete course activities and assignments. SCC students receive access to Microsoft 365 through their student account.
Computer or Laptop — Required: Students must have regular access to a desktop or laptop computer capable of running or accessing Microsoft Outlook and Canvas. A tablet or smartphone may be useful as a supplemental device but is not recommended as the primary device for completing coursework.
Internet Access — Required: Reliable internet access is necessary to access Canvas, Microsoft 365, course materials, and online class activities.
Webcam — Recommended: A webcam is recommended for online meetings, demonstrations, and individual assistance with the instructor. A built-in webcam is sufficient; students do not need to purchase a separate webcam if their computer already has one.
