Legislative Information
The VBEA Legislative Committee has three goals:
Keep the Association informed of legislative issues at the State and National levels.
Establish a State legislative team.
Continue expansion of State legislative network of teachers.
It is important for all members to be familiar with the Virginia ACTE Issues and Solutions Document and Advocacy Card. We need to be in a position to speak knowledgeably to policymakers about our key issues and concerns.

ACTE/VACTE Rep
Virginia ACTE is the primary advocacy group for Virginia CTE educators. We educate legislators at the state and federal level on issues important to CTE educators. We also host an annual Professional Development & Leadership Seminar every January in Richmond; the conference coincides with the opening of the Virginia Legislative Session. Your membership will help further our efforts.
