The library subject guides contain links to resources you can use to support your study. Some are freely available - others are accessed through school/library database subscriptions.
A library eResource is an online collection of resources, often selected around a particular subject. They usually provide full access to sources that are only available by subscription - which you won't find with a general web search. Content is selected and checked by subject experts, so these are good sources for authoritative information.
You can access some eResources from VBC Library which are detailed below - but you can also access an extensive range of resources through the State Library of Victoria.

JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. You can access it though a State Library membership. Alternatively some content is open access (free) - and if you create a personal account you can access up to 100 articles a month for free.
Australia’s national statistical agency - find Census data, or statistics relating to Economy, Labour, Industry, People, Health, Environment and COVID-19.
A library of original animated educational videos, covering the arts, business, design, health, literature, maths, philosophy, psychology and science.
Collections from cultural, community and research organisations all over Australia - search historical images, newspapers, maps, digitised letters and diaries, and more.
Google Scholar is a search engine for scholarly literature (articles, theses and books from academic publishers, universities and other web sites). In some cases it will link you to the full text but sometimes it may refer you to articles only available with subscriptions. You can contact the library for help locating these articles.
Practice exercises and instructional videos designed for learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. Subjects covered include maths, science, computing, history, art history, economics, and more.
