Over the 3 weeks of the course, we worked diligently to create observations of wildlife -- snapshots of nature to help scientists see where certain species are and what they're doing.
We reached a total of over 1,000 observations, with ~300 research-grade entries!
Research-grade observations can qualify for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) database and to researchers.

Zooniverse is the world's largest platform for participatory science; above is a sample page from just one of the organizations that it hosts. Over the course of 3 weeks we contributed to research across many disciplines by classifying images ourselves and accumulated over 650 observations. Some of the most notable research projects that we got involved in include FinVision, Etch a Cell, Chicago Wildlife Watch, and Iguanas from Above.
