In the various units, I collaborate daily with a team focusing on meeting learning outcomes by leveraging my computer skills and interpersonal communication. Through these experiences, I learned and I'm still learning the importance of teamwork and effective communication in training.
Our overall success in these units demonstrated to me the effectiveness of teamwork and communication. My involvement in these teams allowed me to apply and further develop my communication skills, as well as learning how to make myself heard in groups of strong-minded individuals.
In the section to follow, you will find glimpses of the following projects:

In the above projects, I was responsible for cost control during project implementation and contributed to managing project cost while maintaining quality workmanship throughout project implementation. My roles involved preparation of tender documents, advising client on contractor selection, carrying out valuations, preparing financial appraisals and reconciling the projects final account. These actions resulted in enhanced project implementation and reduction of unmitigated project delays. In each project, I collaborated with the Project Management team focusing on managing project cost by leveraging my skills in measurement, estimation and project management.
Through these experiences, I learned the importance of effective communication in project implementation as one of the key takeaways that was similar in almost all the projects. This challenged me to develop my skills in communication and taught me about teamwork as a broader concept. Looking back, I would emphasize on the importance of all project team members attending site inspections and this has informed my approach to all projects I work in.
This success of the implementation of these projects demonstrated to me the effectiveness of communication within the project team and its impact on project implementation with minimal time and cost overruns. My involvement in these projects allowed me to apply and further develop my communication skills, as well as improving on my project management skills.
