Oversee all department projects and staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining order of VSN committees, mentors, relations, presence, etc. Co-President’s are responsible for delegating duties to all departments to ensure the mission is secured and objectives for the year are met, along with setting standards and modifying the mission orientation throughout the year to constantly improve and grow the engagement of VSN. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing execution of duties in a timely manner and following up on such duties throughout meetings, while fostering inter-departmental connections and establishing expectations in accordance to the needs of the students VSN serves.

The role of the Public Relations and Outreach team is to maintain affairs to various LAUSD/SFV Schools and update all platforms of social media and outreach to promote our programs and events to the general population of high school students, particularly in the San Fernando Valley. Social media outreach is one of the biggest ways our organization can attract attention and promote our mission of providing accessibility to our free resources and mentorship programs.
2025 Director: Bibhabari Mohanty
Events & Operations typically oversee the administrative work regarding the planning and briefing of club events before, during, and after meetings to ensure all members of VSN are well equipped to prepare for a year of flourishing guidance and mentorship. Working hand in hand with the various departments of VSN, this department ensures all coordination with other schools, registration, and information regarding organization activities, is accounted for. The efficiency of this department allows VSN to conduct it's mission to providing effective resources, opportunities, and events for mentees to grow their passions.

The Mentorship Board oversees the performance and progress of all VSN Mentors in regards to resolving scheduling conflicts, mentor recruitment, mentee-mentor relations, manning onboarding training process, and ensuring the standards of mentorship by all members to establish equal opportunity for all high school mentees. The Mentorship Board also oversees the growth and enhancement of our mentorship programs, as we believe every individual mentor brings unique insight through their diverse range of experiences and backgrounds. Using this asset, the mentorship program constantly evaluates the feedback from high school mentees and undergraduate mentors to work on new educational projects and events that advance the free range of opportunity for students in the San Fernando Valley.
