Well control

Hello Cat,

No issues. There are two ways for Scott Shulz to get credit for Well Control Introductory Level Training, which is as follows:

Scott can complete an “IADC Well Control Introductory Level training” to acquire credit for “Well Control Introductory Level - ( CRP245 )”, renewal required after 5 Years.
Since Scott is currently holding a IWCF Level-3 Certification expiring on 8th Jun 2025, he can attend a IWCF Level-3 Course before expiry to renew the certification for another 2 Years and can get credit for Well Control Introductory as well for another 2 Years. However Scott requiring an approval from Gavin Carlie (RM) to undergo IWCF Level-3 (because Level-3 is a superior to his required training in the Matrix i.e; Introductory Level).

Internal Valaris Well Control in person training

Hello team, just a reminder - for crew whom stay in US-Houston / UK -Aberdeen and they would like to attend in person well control training at the centre nearby their hometown, please check if they need hotel/flights.

For those who stay within the vicinity without any need for logistics, fatigue management (hotel booking), it is a straightforward booking for them to go in person.

We do need to inform Tammy or Scott if they are attending in person. If the crew needs flights and hotel bookings, please check with RM as this will be a cost incurred by the rig.

Arrange training to the foreign country

Make sure the foreign country has same use of language that the delegate is use(delegate's mother language).

COMPEX basic and Compex 01-04

CompEx Hazardous Area EX01-04 is the actual requirement for all positions requiring CompEx training.
However considering the complexity of 1-4 Course, we can have some exemptions for Junior/National Electricians/ETs who are doing a CompEx training first time, and this exemption provides them a flexibility to undergo CompEx Basic course for the 1st time, and may do a 1-4 course upon renewal (within 5 Years development period). In some cases the exemption could be extended to the 2nd time also depending on feedback/recommendations from RM or Supervisor.
But above said exemption is not applicable/suitable for Senior Electricians, Electrical Supervisors, Chief Electricians and corresponding ET positions.

Wahyu as assisstant electrician needs to complete the Comp EX Basic training before he can undergo the CompEX Hazardous Areas EX01-04 training.

Therefore, I should first book the Comp EX Basic for Wahyu, and once he has completed it, I will proceed to book the CompEX Hazardous Areas EX01-04.

Yes, let Wahyu complete CompEx Basic this time and this will be valid for another 5 Years.

Upon next renewal you can plan him for CompEx 1-4.

Hello Team, to reiterate again the compex MOC. Please note that a Basic Compex would suffice to cover 1-4 if we put in place the MOC wordings and it will be valid for 5 years. This is for the job positions as per what was in the meeting earlier.

Hi Team, the COMPEX exemption would apply to these roles only:

1 - Assistant Electrician

2 - Assistant ET

3 - Electrician

4 - ET

If the crew is confident to make the mark for the COMPEX exam, they can be allowed to take the 1-4. Please enquire with the crew especially those without prior COMPEX 1-4 certifications.

COMPLIANCE MATRIX:

- Every required course will turn to green colour after we upload ( this is for mandatory course)

- Matrix with orange box is the course that need to book ( Grace period 6 month and below).

- Grey colour box – not mandatory / not necessary course. It is just for mass upload for example, they undergo training onboard of H2S even though the training is not necessarily for them and it is for additional knowledge. If in future, they got promoted to other position, they already have that course uploaded in SVX .

TRF:

- Home location: need for flight

- TRAINING COURSE(S) REQUESTED & PREFERRED PROVIDER / LOCATION: Fill up by them . Usually will choose the training centre nearest to home location. If they choose far from their home location, the admin need to check.

- Car Hire: to transfer employee from airport to training centre. The car/shuttle bas that pick up the employee must from provider’s transport. If outside of training centre’s transport, need approval from the RIG MANAGER.

TRACKER:

1) Notes (Brief Status of the TRF) : It is to put the reason behind every TRF status. Easy for us to track the next process.

For example:

TRF STATUS: Awaiting Response from Rig.

Notes (Brief Status of the TRF) : Crew need to confirm work schedule and come back to us.

1) Course start date & course end date: Date receive from provider. Setting the date using short date

2) - Rider Booking ID : If book the course through 3rd party

- SPIDER: If book the course through RelyOnnutec.

Gas Testing for confined spaces ( New Onboard training certificate but not sure where to upload because the valaris internal training ( Gas Testing for Confined Spaces (Oilennium) - ( CRP1582 ))has same name with onboard training certificate (Gas Testing for confined spaces).
As what informed by Santanu, this certificate can be uploaded to 2 places which are ( Authorized Gas Tester and Confined Space Entry. ) But still need get the confirmation from trainer asThe trainer informed that Gas Testing for Confined Space is new course title.
From Sumesh ;external training certificate cannot be uploaded under internal training crp Gas Testing for Confined Spaces (Oilennium) - ( CRP1582
From K. Mida - this course can be uploaded to authorized gas tester and confined spaces entry and rescue (not requirement course for ds-12 on cser and buat skali jalan) - but in the svx, put comment 'as per email authorised gas tester/ spaces entry and rescue fully cover for Gas Testing for Confined Space'. - still need confirmation from the trainer.
From K. Mida - Anything issues must be informM to internal (Valaris training Mea) first before inform or ask Sumesh!!!!
From K.Mida - Before this, the external training certificate can be uploaded under internal training Gas Testing for Confined Spaces (Oilennium) - ( CRP1582 in SVX because internal training course is the fully english training and some of the employee don't understand this language. Therefore, they will undergo the training that use their mother tongue language and the certificate that they receive from external provider can be uploaded under Gas Testing for Confined Spaces (Oilennium) - ( CRP1582 . -still need get confirmation from sumesh

“Gas Testing for Confined Spaces (Oilennium) - ( CRP1582 )” title is solely for a Valaris’ Skills VX (internal) eLearning requirement, and this requirement was implemented as a corrective action after a high potential incident on one of our Rigs. Hence, please do not award CRP1582 with external training certificates, the employee requiring to acquire credit for this CRP1582 shall complete this eLearning indirectly in Skills VX.

We are requiring to avoid any deviations from intended method of delivery (in this case it is strictly internal training ully aligned to Valaris SSoW and relevant HSE procedures).

Mula2 bagi schedule from Valaris SVX. If takde, baru tanya Rig Manager 106, minta approval untk buat luar for well control

Dapat tarikh from well control valaris.

If employee dah tetap tarikh from date that valaris schedule in SVX, Open employee account in SVX and add training request. Fill up the course in the SVX and save.
After finish, then send the training request to Tammy and ask her to provide course confirmation and joining instruction.

TRF SUBMITTAL DATE - put the date that we received trf from employee

ATPI NOTES

Internal training - Enhance well control

PTP (Performance toolpusher ), TP (toolpusher), Senior TP and OIM (essentially TP and above) training is only 3 days(remove the first day of training). 4 days for the rest.
Aberdeen session are common session - deepwater and floater are the same sessions.
Houston Jack Up EWC is for Jack Up guys only. Houston Deep water EWC is for DS & DPS.
Aberdeen all EWC sessions available for both DS, DPS & JU

Medical Certificate

If the training is Non - Opito approved, can provide the BP Indonesia Medical Certificate - ( BPMC ) as pre-requisite to register the course.

Accrual Report.

DP CPD - KEELSON MARINE- no need to put in accrual. but must put in payroll
ICM -NO need to put in accrual

Stacked Rid

must provide the payroll and accrual report

Airport transfer

if delegate require airport transfer, ask ATPI if they can provided it and if yes, the payment will be setlle by ATPI
no need to inform HRPB.

Failed course

Any failed course need to inform the Rig Manager

Development course

Any development course need to inform the Rig Manager for approval.

Enhance Well Control

1.) Enhanced Well control - Aberdeen internal training includes Deepwater too even though it is stated as Jack Up. We prioritize Aberdeen location for those whom are staying in APR and Eastern Hemisphere.
2.) For US citizens, we can send them to Houston. For any other deviations, we need to email Sumesh for a final decision.

In additions to OIMs & Toolpushers, the Driller and Assistant Drillers who have been to Enhanced Well Control Training before are not requiring to attend the 1st day of the Course (The Enhanced Well Control Renewals trainings for Drillers and ADs are only 3 days’ course starting the 2nd day to 4th day of the Course).

The Initial Enhanced Well Control will be 4 days’ training for Drillers & Assistant Drillers (from 1st day to 4th day of the course).
Enhanced Well Control Renewal will be 3 days’ training for Drillers & Assistant Drillers (from 2nd day to 4th day of the course).
Enhanced Well Control Initial/Renewal will be 3 days’ training for OIMs & Toolpushers (from 2nd day to 4th day of the course).

We are requiring to adhere these ground rules for all EWC bookings ahead.

I have one delegate and he is driller. I have booked him renewal EWC but the training is for 4 days ( 03 - 06 March 2025).

therefore, this one I need to reschedule him to 04 - 06 March 2025 and inform Sumesh to amend the course confirmation kan? sbb course confirmation ewc 03-06 March 2025 received before the Sumesh's announcement of 3 days of training for renewal ewc

Answer: Sumesh ckp for those yg dah plan and book hotel and tickets no need to change kan. Unless u belum book.

From Mida: Dear Team, for EWC changes, for those with travel booked etc, please do not make changes as per the meeting with Sumesh Gopinath earlier. For those future bookings or those without travel booked yet, you may effect the changes.

Means, if reschedule for renewal, it will become from 4 days to the 3 days for EWC.

Enhance Situational Leadership Program

Hello Everyone, a gentle reminder that any requests for Leadership training and Well control training MUST be forwarded to Sumesh/Tammy/Scott(if Sumesh is on leave to be sent to the other 2). Its our due duty to just send the information over to them irregardless of whether they updated the slots or not. They can advise that later to the crew and us.
