Academic Collaboration

The laboratory is open for research collaboration with all academia to enhance the basic plant science research especially focused on the Indo-Myanmar Biodiversity hotspot region. It also welcomes all kinds of research collaboration for academic development, biodiversity conservation, forest community development through practices of basic plant science, and all other subjects relevant to the forest, climate change, and environmental sciences.

Ph. D.

The scholars/students with CSIR-, UGC-, Inspire- OR other fellowships can contact Dr. Vivek Vaishnav writing him an e-mail with their CV and synopsis of the work of interest. Ph. D. admission for the scholars/students with the secured fellowship is open throughout the year.

The students without any fellowship will have to get admission through the procedure defined by the Manipur University Ph. D. Admission rules and regulations. The Ph. D. admission test is conducted twice a year. NET-qualified applicants need to apply through the Ph.D. Admission procedure, but are exempted from the written examination. The candidates finally selected for Ph. D. are awarded fellowships according to the University rules after Ph. D. registration only.

In both of the above cases, the candidates are highly encouraged to contact Dr. Vivek Vaishnav to discuss their areas of interest before applying for admission.

Post Doctoral Opportunity

The laboratory is opened to support the Ph.D. scholars to carry on their Post Doctoral work in the field of mutual interest and encourage for CSIR-Research Associate, UGC- Dr. D. S. Kothari Fellowship, SERB-NPDF, DST- Women Scientist Fellowship, DST-Inspire Faculty Fellowship etc.

Project Vacancies

The laboratory also conducts temporary project-based recruitments of Project Assistants, JRF, SRF, etc. time to time. The advertisement is notified through the Manipur University Website and Newspaper.

Dissertation/ Internship

The laboratory welcomes qualified and enthusiastic candidates from the field to join the team. Interested candidates are suggested to contact Dr. Vivek Vaishnav.
