VESSELS OF LIFE is a ceramic figure of the same size as the Tiger Woman, please see below, but conceptually divided into two interlocking parts. The sculpture opens into two bowl-like forms. Inside both halves, I painted a network of blood vessels. On the outside, I used human skin tones combined with ritual body painting.

TIGER WOMAN is my personal reinterpretation of prehistoric Venus figurines. I am deeply interested in prehistory and the beginnings of societies—especially in the lives of women and the structures that formed around them.
She lies powerfully in the hands. Her body is not the slender, idealised body of a young girl; it is a body full of lived experience. She is the figure of an older, seasoned woman – one who was once not only respected and honoured, but even glorified.
VENUS: RECONNECTION is a modular sculptural installation. There are eight main elements: two legs, two breasts, a belly, shoulders with small hands, a head, and a small egg. The size of the installation is variable; the entire body measures approximately 30 × 15 × 3 cm, and the belly element measures 15 × 7 × 3 cm. Each element is shaped like a bowl or vessel, and the egg fits into any of the other forms.
The group of forms is based on the Venus of Lespugue, a prehistoric sculpture approximately 26,000 years old. I refer to the female body at a time when it was still whole – before history fragmented it, and before knowledge, identity, and meaning fell apart.
